Here at SafeBet, our mission is not only to throw bookies in jail but also to build people up who have became addicted at a young age. Although we are a new business, we plan on having group sessions for people to share feeling anonymously. No camera, no name, and most importantly no required talking. Sometimes the best thing is to just sit there and listen. Speaking to people or even just listening to people who have dealt with this is essential for addicts.

Most gambling addicts have horrible thoughts. Almost all the time. It is essential to listen and speak about these problems because once you do, everybody realizes that they have so much good in their life but that crazy voice inside our heads sometimes starts to work us over. It is essential to speak to someone NOT because you are crazy but because your life is so valuable that if you don’t protect it, it’s actually crazy not to protect your life. Just like if someone would have a serious disease and they would think it’s not essential to go to a doctor, that would be crazy. Talking to a community is good because you should value your life so much. We will all get out of the mud together and you will look back one day and be happy that you were able to get past this. We are by no means experts or have PHDs but sometimes it is better to just talk to a kid around your age about the same problems. When things are really hard your mind gets screwed up and you don’t think straight, like when you are drunk. That’s why it’s good to talk to others to get a reality check. So here is the reality check: You are a very special person, and you are going to live an awesome life. You are stuck in a short term tough situation, legitimately gambling addiction and debt is very tough. But one day you will get out of this, and SafeBet wants to be apart of your road to recovery!
